Founders' Day 2002

Iota Lambda tried a new approach for Founders' Day 2002. This year the Chapter attempted a smaller, Brothers only format. The turn out was gratifying and the program most enjoyable. Brothers continued the "treasury of good fellowship" well after the formal program concluded.

 


Brothers from Iota Lambda and nearby chapters gather for Founders' Day at Real Taste Place owned by Br. Mark Webster.


Br. William Lindsey performed duties of Master of Ceremonies with style and humor.

 


Br. Mark Webster gave a spirited rendition of "The House of Alpha".

 


Br. Rev. Oliver Dwayne Walker, Pastor of Phillips Temple C.M.E. Church, provided words of inspiration and thanksgiving for the invocation and benedition.


Following the elegant repast provided by Br. Mark Webster and staff, the Brotherhood prepared to enjoy the remainder of the program.

 


Br. Ed Squires offered reflections on the occasion of Founders' Day. (AW)


Br. Robert E. Bedford regaled the assembly with renditions of popular Alpha poems.

 


After his own poetry offering, Indiana District Director, Br. Thua Barlay introduced the speaker for the evening. (AW)


Br. Damon Moore was our keynote speaker for Founders' Day 2002.

 


Br. Moore challenged the assembled Brothers with a W.I.N. philosophy, applied to Alpha past, present, and future. (AW)
