The famous Indiana Roof Ballroom with its Middle Eastern decor and sky-effect ceiling gave a festive backdrop to the 33rd Annual IUPUI Martin Luther King Day Dinner.

Alphas were visible throughout the attendees and also were privileged to play a part in the program. Here, IUPUI Brother Andrew Abdul shares emcee duties. Also, Br. Rev. Oliver Dwayne Walker (not pictured) gave the invocation and benediction.

The keynote speaker for the evening was Roslyn M. Brock, Vice Chair of the NAACP Board of Directors. Her comments on the occasion, Dr. King, and his legacy brought a lengthy ovation.

The text of the award is reproduced in the text column to the left of these pictures. Br. Crutchfield was joined at the Iota Lambda table by Brothers Bedford, Henderson, Lindsey, McGhee, Squires, Webster, and Woodall. Two tables of College Brothers and their guests were nearby, and a number of individual Brothers were in attendance.

Our distinguished Sisters in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., presented their compliments and gifts to the keynote speaker and sorority member, Roslyn Brock. The presentation pictured at left is from the local college chapter, and at right from the local alumni chapter.
